A Day at the Boardwalk!

Paul was off for two weeks and the first week we went to Hawaii, the second week we went on mini adventures one being a trip to the Santa Cruz boardwalk. We went early in the morning to find parking and walked along the pier where the rides are. Amaya had a lot of fun on the toddler rides. We didn't go onto the beach but she seemed to have fun eating treats and people watching! 
So Silly!
Paul took a few pictures of Amaya and asked her pose last week. This is her pose. I think she is learning some silly things at school ;)

A much needed vacation happenend earlier in the month and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to show Amaya a place that we adore. We arrived in Oahu after a long flight in which Amaya did fairly well. She watched the iPad and snacked almost the entire trip. We went to our favorite beach in Kailua, went to the touristy Dole Plantation and mostly just plopped ourselves down on the beach and relaxed.

For the 4th we had a very low key family get together with all the cousins! We ate hot dogs and salad, had flag cake for dessert and lighted sparklers in the yard.
