Read more...We decided to get some pro family pics taken of us since we had literally no pics of us together. My talented friend Kemmeo brought the stuff to our house and we proceeded to have a photo shoot in our living room. Amaya peed on Paul three times but in the end it as all worth it, right Paul? :-)
Here's what Kemmeo said about our shoot....
"After photographing little Amaya, I drove home with the sweetest little lullaby, 'Amaya Bella' in my head. Her mommy sang it to her to keep her calm and to get her attention during the session. I will say that this family has debunked the theory that something is lost when a baby and mother do not get to bond within the first 2 hours of birth. This was one of the most loving and intimate families that I've seen in a long time and Amaya clearly knows that she is loved. If you don't believe me, look at those big brown eyes when she gazes up at her Mama and Papa! Thank you for sharing your afternoon Paul and Tiffany!"

Here are some more 2 month pictures taken throughout the last week. We've been enjoying the last few weeks of summer before school starts, visiting with friends and making sure that we try to document as much as possible.
Amaya has been smiling more and I caught a few grins on the camera!

We had Amaya's 2 month visit today, and everything went pretty good. She is growing like she should be and is a very healthy baby. She is still on the small side for her age, but that is to be expected since she was early.

Do you like the pic? LOL
Paul calls this her Elvis face since her lip is curled. She was actually smiling here, I think I just missed it. So in two months everything is going pretty good albeit, time is flying by. My little 3 pound peanut turned into a 7 pound pudgy baby! We still get comments asking if she is a newborn which always gets a laugh from me. She looks little to everyone else but to me and Paul she looks massive compared to how she looked when she was born. Tomorrow we have her 2 month appointment so I will update with her stats and such!
I snapped these pics while my lovies were sleeping this morning! Amaya was in the middle of the bed on her lap pad and she wiggled all the way up under daddy's arm. Too cute!

And on we go.....
I know, I know I really need to update this thing more often!
Life is super busy around here! I finally finished my thesis proposal and now can spend some time concentrating on taking Amaya out more. The other day we met up with our friends Sarah and Charlie! Charlie was born two weeks after Amaya, isn't he a cute little snugglebug?
The other day Amaya, Paul, Sassy, Mookie and I went for a walk for the first time. it was kind of chilly so we bundled the baby into her stroller! It was sort of long walk but I think Amaya enjoyed it!

Eager to get going (this baby probably kicked up a storm in the womb!), the Gemini baby is likely to be talking early and making a mark from day one. Curious and quite the explorer, this tot is one who needs lots of stimuli in order to be happy, as they are easily bored. Since those communication skills are top-notch, the smart thing to do with this baby is bring them into a playgroup as soon as possible. At home, siblings can easily fill this function, as someone must! It's never too early for the Gemini baby to interact with others, and they will also learn their lessons early on.
The Gemini tot is definitely not clingy. It's quite the opposite - this is one baby who is happy to march to their own beat, gallivanting about and keeping themselves amused in the process. Surprisingly, when this baby is not engaged in chatting or playing with others, there could be a certain emotional detachment. For that reason, it's best to keep things uncomplicated and easy for them to understand, the better to maintain harmony. To sum up, the Gemini baby is the Great Communicator of the playgroup, has a short attention span (so keep 'em busy!), and is one clever and creative tot.
How time is flying, it seems like just yesterday we were at the hospital. Amaya is 7 weeks old today, and getting bigger every day. Things are going ok for the most part, although lack of sleep has probably clouded my mind. Anyway I figured I would make a post since it has been a while for me.
