Amaya got some great gifts for her birthday. She loves her new push toys that Daddy assembled as soon as she got home from her birthday party!

We held Amaya's Cupcake Themed Birthday at Chynoweth Park! After a few hiccups we were able to set up and wait for friends and family to arrive. It was super windy, nothing like the previous year when Amaya was born and we were in the middle of a heat wave! Here are some pics of her birthday party and I want to thank everyone who came, we are so blessed to have you in Amaya's life!!
It's her birthday party and she will sleep if she wants to!
The table decor...
The favors, cupcake shaped cookies that me and Aunt Nana made!
The cake....
The cupcake pinata which was a HUGE hit with the kiddos!
Lots of cupcakes!

Today was Amaya's 1st birthday! We decided to take it easy and spend the day together as a family. First we had a wardrobe change to to a diaper malfunction. Then we went shopping and picked out a new pool toy. We got her a blow up car that she can sit in, it's super cute.
I didn't think I would be this emotional when thinking about my baby turning 1 year old. Around this time last year I was being driven to the hospital after being in pain most of the day. I remember thinking that I could have the baby that night, I was in so much pain and not correlating that it was my body shutting down from pre eclampsia and HELLP. Amaya was such an itty bitty baby and now she is so big and has changed our life so much!
One year later we have this beautiful walking little chatterbox who has a mix of her parents personality. She has my feistyness and Paul's stubbborness, she can play well on her own but loves to be around and observe other children. She brightens every part of my life, especially when I feel her little arms around my neck giving me a hug. She is truly a gift and a blessing!
We decided to do a couple of days in San Diego to check out the San Diego Zoo and the boardwalk area. We stayed at the Hyatt Resort on the San Diego Marina and it was such a gorgeous hotel. We were certainly very comfortable and it was really a good deal. Here's a slideshow of the zoo and a few pics of our hotel!
We decided to take a trip with Grammie and Grampie to Disneyland and San Diego for Amaya's first vacation! Amaya did really well on the plane trip and slept almost 100% of the time in the air. Kickass!!

Walking through the happiest place on earth for the first time!!
