Amaya loves to dig in the dirt. I'm hoping if we start her young she will want to work in the garden and then eventually eat the veggies we produce! So far she just flings dirt and gets very annoyed if the snails get too close.
I can't get over how big she looks in these pictures. The flowing hair, the funny expressions, the arms raised to the rhythm.
Simply amazing.
with cousin Bella! I took the girls to the park after a quick trip to Starbucks for some energy. It was super hot outside, which only allowed for about 40 minutes of park time, but I think it was long enough for the girls to burn off some energy. I kind of love having a park for toddlers right around the corner to my house! I realize that Amaya looks super serious in these pictures but I swear she was having fun in between running full speed after her older cousin!
We had an amazing 4th of July weekend! On the day of we met up with our friends Jennifer and Ruby for their neighborhood parade! It was really cute, with old cars and homemade floats. Then we hightailed it over to Vasona park for a BBQ (in the shade.) Amaya got so dirty and we all ate until we were stuffed! My flag cake ended up being pretty popular so I was thrilled.
On the day after we headed over to a Madres BBQ and swim party at a beautiful house in the Silver Creek hills. Amaya and Daddy swam until they were wrinkly and then Amaya had fun playing on the slides and jungle gym.
By Monday night we were totally exhausted but really happy that we spent time with friends and family!
