A Visit to the Children's Discovery Museum!

Amaya, Paul and I went to the CDM on Labor Day! I hadn't been there since I was a kid and Paul had never been so we decided to make it a family event. I'd say Amaya liked the room with the balls, "Box City" and climbing on the fire truck and stagecoach. She did not like the water fountains or the Curious George room but maybe that was because some brat hit her in the face because she did not want to share a toy. I took some deep breaths and led Amaya to a diversion because I could see the other mom was utterly embarrassed. At least I hope she was.

**Sneak Peek**

This morning we took Amaya to get her portraits done at Picture People since we loved BFF Sofia's pics. As soon as the camera came out Amaya's good mood turned foul. She didn't want to smile, frowned at the photographer and wasn't interested in any of the toys they pulled out for her. Even still I think her pics came out lovely.

Eating Fishies

Amaya loves eating whole wheat goldfish (they taste the same as the regular goldfish) and I whipped out the camera the other day while she was eating her snack. She caught me with the camera and tilted her head to get a better view. Then she made a hilarious face, she scrunched up her nose and bared her teeth. Too funny!

14 Months!

At 14 months, Amaya loves the pancakes that Daddy makes for a indulgent weekend breakfast. I put some on her plate and surprisingly she ate everything before tossing the plate onto the ground. Here are some pics of her chowing down.

* She has 4 teeth
* Weighs about 18 pounds
* Knows the signs for "eat, sit down, milk, drink & please"
* Can get off and on her ride toy by herself
* Runs full speed without falling
